True leaders don’t force you to follow them. Their goal is to inspire people out there so that it eventually enables a grander vision. They inspire you through their words and more importantly, actions to go out there and do something. It is generally their vision that sets them apart, followed by their tenacity and rigor when it comes to implementation.
Several years ago, i penned the following lines for a man who inspired me and several others to think in a completely new direction
A life to wish, a life to act, a life to succeed or fail,
Man is not based on success but on action,
We have stood by a man who has acted,
A man who has voiced the collective thought.
His boldness of vision, his down to earth nature followed by charisma and clarity in thought really set him apart and inspired me and others to follow him.
